1:

What is the difference between a "flat panel" monitor and a "flat screen" display?

Both terms refer to some aspect of the actual shape of the monitors. "Flat panel" refers to monitors whose case and screen are flat - they are essentially shaped much like a large book, turned on its long side. Flat panl monitors can be very wide and very tall, but are always thin from front to back (usually less than 4 inches). Thus, they can be hung on a wall, unlike convential monitors, which are shaped more like old television sets. This makes them very space efficient, while also offering a perfectly focused screen image with little glare.

"Flat screen" displays are basically the same as the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) displays you usually see on desktop computers, with one important difference - the glass screen is perfectly flat, and not slightly curved like most CRT displays. CTR displays have to compensate for the curved angles of the glass screen, which makes their picture somewhat distorted and unfocused. Flat screen displays, on the other hand, do not suffer from the concave effect, so focus is near-perfect and straight lines appear straight. Glare is also greatly reduced with flat screen displays.

2:

What is the warranty when I purchase a monitor/display?

All equipment comes with the full manufacturer's warranty, which can be 12 to 36 months long, depending upon the model purchased. See the spec sheet of any given item for warranty length.

3:

Are shipping costs included?

No. Shipping is extra and will be determined based upon destination, weight, and speed of delivery service. All monitors are shipped in special, protective cases.

4:

Do you offer insurance on rentals or leases?

We do not offer insurance, and you are responsible for the safekeeping of the equipment while it is rented/leased. However, most insurance companies can offer you a "rider" on top of your existing office contents or homeowner's policy to insure the equipment during the rental/lease period.

5:

How quickly can I get the equipment?

Depending on where you are located, we offer same-or-next-day delivery service nationwide.

6:

Do you offer technical support?

Yes. We offer technical support during normal business hours, and 24-hour technical support is available for an extra charge.

7:

What is the minimum rental or lease period?

One day for rentals, 12 months for leases.

8:

Do you rent or lease to individuals?

Yes, as long as you have a major credit card that will support the rental/lease charges.

9:

Do you offer quantity discounts?

Yes. The percentage depends upon the model(s) purchased and the final quantity. Ask your sales rep for details.

10:

What will these monitors/displays hook up to?

It generally depends on the size of the monitor, but the larger units (21" and greater) have more inputs than the smaller ones. Typically the larger units will accommodate a video input as well as a computer input. See the spec sheet for each monitor/display for details.
